Life As It Is

It's 34 days to go before Christmas, would you believe it? I know, it was only yesterday when I was staring in front of my computer monitor thinking what it's like not to work on Christmas or New Year's eve now here I am, thankful for life's unexpected blessings.

It hasn't been a month since my family moved into this new house and it got me really busy. Packing and unpacking stuff is quite a drag but exciting at the same time. The thought of living in a new house makes me happy and sad at the same time. Happy because from the time that my sister and I started working we've always rented a pad so we have no choice but to be away from home so we are closer to our workplace. Living in a new house makes me feel like a child with a shiny new toy, I like it when everything's new. I am sad that my mom is not going to be with us anymore. We've been spending Christmas for three years now without her. I guess we are starting over.

I love decorating our new house. I've always been interested in interior design that's why I can't get enough of Pinterest 'cuz that's where I get most ideas on decorating and stuff. I'm quite a perfectionist, I like things to hang nicely. I just hate eyesore that's why I do my research first to make sure I put things where they should be.

Get well soon big boy
I like this new neighborhood, it's peaceful. Our pets are somehow getting accustomed to their new environment especially Atari the cat because he still gets to stay indoors. Our toy dog Yumi, is recovering from a blood parasite that came from our previous house and still on medication however Brandon, our 10-year-old German Shepherd was rushed to the vet almost a week ago because he had diarrhea and fever and was confined for 2 days due to possible contaminated water or food so just a to be safe never give your pets tap water, let them drink what you drink. We took Brandon home and is slowly recuperating. According to his vet, the infection badly affected his kidney and liver thank God his appetite is back but still too weak to stand on his feet. I'm just grateful that I get to spend time watching over our sick pets.

I have a lot of plans for next year like working from home and hopefully my sister and I get to travel again for our birthday, I'm crossing my fingers. At the moment I couldn't ask for more. Happiness is contentment.

Just Got Lucky

All by myself. I don't feel like going out today I'm feeling kinda lazy. After two hours of sleep I did my usual household chores, I showered, then redo my pretty finger nail art decals. We had an early time off at work so I got home around past five in the morning. My shift ends at 6 so I'm home before the sun is up. How I wish I can go on half day everyday so I can sleep longer, lol. What the hell is wrong with me?! I'm still ranting when I only have two weeks left in this company?  I just can't help it maybe I'm just so darn tired already, yeah whatever.

I haven't got my Ipad yet I'm a little disappointed I thought I'm gonna get it before my rest day too bad it didn't happen due to unexpected circumstances, sigh. In my two years of stay in this company this is the first time they're giving away an Apple Ipad as incentive and lucky me I'm gonna get it before I leave for Singapore. I find it ironic I'm planning to buy a netbook after our sick leave conversion but decided to keep the money and just wait and see if I'm going to get the Ipad luckily, it's all mine. Seriously? I need to resign just to get an Ipad? I've never won a gadget in my two years of stay in this company I guess I'm just a little overwhelmed because for sure I'm gonna need it when I travel so hallelujah!

It's my teenage niece's birthday tomorrow so my twin and I are going to crash in their humble abode. Our elder sister promised us "pancit malabon" so we're kinda excited that's my favorite. I also got an unexpected Sodexho gift certificate few days ago what a coincidence I don't have to shell out cash to buy my niece a birthday cake. I thank god for all the blessings. Keep 'em coming.

Giving Back

I dropped by at PLDT's business office earlier to take care of our phone application. Our wireless phone quit working last week we've had it for more than a year. I was told that we'll have our phone installed within 5 days, oh well hopefully.

I have all my Christmas presents wrapped up and ready to be given away. My sister thought that I'm being generous this year and asked why I'm giving gifts to everyone in the family I told her I just like to share my blessings to everyone. I'm no Santa Claus, it's Christmas so it's time for gift giving isn't it?

I kept myself busy today, I did some cleaning, laundry, etc. while watching the movie Impulse,  about a girl who had a sexual fling with a psychopath who looks exactly like her husband. Later on, I recycled leftover rice from the fridge, I added some spice to it like we always do it's not your usual boring fried Java rice so my sister and I already have something for dinner later. We can't order food anymore since we don't have phone service yet.
