Creating My Happy Space at Home

Blogging these days is a bit harder to keep up with. I can see why many people now prefer video blogs instead of written ones—vlogging has definitely taken over. Still, there’s something about writing that I enjoy, so here I am.

Life has been pretty good lately. I recently redecorated my room after a shelf topper was installed, and it made a huge difference. It also helped improve my sleep because I finally created a separation between my sleeping space and the cats.

When my twin sister moved to a quieter room, I ended up with the master bedroom to myself—and, of course, the cats. As much as I love them, you can’t really stop cats from being cats. Their wee-hour zoomies and the occasional knocking things over definitely disrupted my sleep and caused quite a bit of stress.

Now that the room is divided into my own space and the cats’ area, I can finally decorate it properly and keep things a little more peaceful.

My current obsession is the Bauhaus aesthetic—bold colors, strong lines, and lots of playful elements. I’ve also been getting into dopamine decor, which focuses on surrounding yourself with things that spark happiness and lift your mood. Aside from becoming quite popular lately, it really does bring a positive energy to the room.

They say the key to happiness is finding joy in simple things, and that’s exactly what I’m trying to do.

With summer coming up, I’m hoping to enjoy the season and maybe find some fun activities for both me and the cats.
