Wake Up

Rest day again at last. I've been in the BPO industry for 7 years now so work has become such a drag to me. At first I enjoy what I do, I mean who wouldn't? It pays good compared to normal day jobs. Well, I guess we really can't have it all. Moving forward, I still feel guilty that I wasn't able to practice my right as a citizen of this country to vote during the may 10 election because I wa
s a registered voter in Antipolo many years ago but wasn't able to register in Mandaluyong where I now live due to time constraints. Hence, I did not experience the country's first automated polls. Given a chance I would've voted for Noynoy not because he's the son of Ninoy and Cory Aquino but because of his good reputation as a non-corrupt senator.

Some say that Noynoy has no accomplishments. He never did anything significant while in congress and senate. That he only created 8 bills in 12 years as a legislator but none of which became laws. Nevertheless, I'd like to give him a chance to prove himself and lead this country to betterment.
Although counting is not yet complete, partial results show Noynoy already secured about 40% of the estimated 37.5 million votes cast in the first automated polls. But i'm still confused about those people who voted for Erap. I mean seriously? What were these people thinking? Filipinos once unite for Erap to step down as president now does this mean people are willing to give him another chance to redeem himself after all? I don't get it. Just like the Marcos family for instance, it's written in Philippine history how much wealth they stole from the government and the people but they are still here for crying out loud. I guess we just forgive and forget too easily... sad and illogical, but true.

Alright, nuff about politics. It's pay day tomorrow, I can't wait for salary adjustment. Darn I've been working so hard so I deserve it.
