Baguio Christmas 07

I just got back from Christmas vacation in Baguio and it was all worth it. I had plenty of sleep of course. There's plenty of food was I forgot about my diet for a while. I'm glad our parents liked the digital camera we bought them for Christmas in fact they had their pictures taken right away. I bought ukay ukay stuff as usual from a Wagwagan (ukay ukay store) fronting Prime Hotel and another location beside Silvertone Inn along Session Road where I got a leather laptop bag. My sister and treat ourselves with "banana split" at this place called "Session Delights" where else but in Session Road, our favorite place to have dessert. We love their yummy banana split it's worth coming back to every year.

It was really cold during the night we can't help but sleep early. We have lots of music, and movies on our laptop so we had movie marathon from dusk till dawn. We're big fans of Ghost Whisperer so we watched everything. We're almost done with season 3 unfortunately, episodes 11 and 12 are not yet available for download.

We heard mass at the St. Joseph the Parish Christmas day then we head over to Mine's View to buy some souvenirs. Last stop is at Maxi Photo Digital services to have our pictures printed. While waiting for our prints mom treat us with "halo halo" so we can cool down at bit. I just stayed home the following day and watch the fogs go down in our veranda, it's a lazy Wednesday afternoon. We left Baguio in the morning and arrived in Manila after lunch time. Good thing my shift's at 1am so I was able to rest. I brought distributed pasalubong to my team mates. Vacation's over but it's  pay day, so good!

Up and Away

I'll be off from work tomorrow I'll be spending Christmas out of town to be with my family. It's been a while since I went on vacation that's why I'm kinda excited about I'm packing my stuff right now so I'm ready for tomorrow. We'll be leaving before lunch time I don't wanna forget anything. I'll bring my laptop with me so I'll be without internet for a few days I'm pretty sure my inbox will be full when I come back. I don't think i'll be bored since I have lots of movies saved on my laptop. I have to enjoy this vacation it's now or never ever again for sure it will take long to have one like this again. We're expecting heavy traffic tomorrow we better leave as early as possible. I can't wait.

Working on Weekends

I got 5 perfect POSE scores so I brought home some cookies. I hate getting a low pose no matter how many 10's I get it will definitely affect my total score. I guess I've been working a lot I deserve a break, a vacation even just a short one. I'm only human, I need a breather.

My sister and I are planning to give our parents a digital camera as for Christmas. We know that they've been wanting to buy a digi cam even if they don't know how it works of course they want to try the latest gadget too. We do trust our mom on this, she learn things pretty easily compared to our dad who's a novice. Dad is not patient to learn technology maybe he thinks that he's too old to learn new things. We thought that our mom wouldn't figure out how to send text messages when we gave her a cellphone but she did whilst our dad up to this time still doesn't know how to do it. Twin sissy already has a present for our niece but I still don't have mine I'll buy just buy her something next week.

That's it's for now, hopefully I can sleep well so I can enjoy my shift tonight.Well, what can I say? I get to work on weekends while others chill.

Give It to Me

I woke up prematurely, now my head is aching terribly. I was in the middle of sleep when Jack, our resident dog bit me in the hand I think that was around 4 in the morning. I realized that I'm starving so I checked out the fridge and decided to cook my breakfast. I ate an easy to cook Carbonara and 2 slices of toast.

I had my haircut about 2 days ago at the newly-opened Reyes Haircutters in Shaw. I like it better than my own haircut. I cut my bangs recently but it was a disaster, it made me looked like I'm wearing a wig I swear I'm not doing that to my hair again. The stylist fixed my bangs he cut it just a little shorter but i'm happy it turned out good.

Christmas is coming close but we haven't even hang our Christmas lantern yet like we used to since we will not be spending our holiday here anyway. To be honest I'm a little disappointed because my Christmas leave got disapproved for some reason even if I filed it early, I think about 3 months ago. I swear I will be absent on that day because I still have leave credits that I haven't even used since I got regularized. I heard our mom is planning a trip to Sagada and I haven't been there. I heard Sagada is 9 hours away from Baguio so if we really want to go there I need a couple of weeks of vacation.

I really hope I can just travel worry free.

Computer Stuff

It's a rainy Thursday morning I'm awakened by the sound of raindrops on our window. I haven't checked the news yet since I'm not sure if this rain is caused by low pressure area (LPA) or if there's a storm coming in. I'm waiting for an email that we'll be dressed down tonight it's so uncomfortable coming to work all dressed up in while a storm is raging.

So my customer survey score is recovering, it went up after getting really low scores last week. I guess I'm back with a vengeance.

I'm done watching all season 2 episodes of Ghost Whisperer after my computer OS (operating System) crashed thank goodness I did lose anything on my hard drive. I'm planning to save it on a a disc so I have a hard copy I wouldn't be so worried in case anything goes wrong with my computer. I'm downloading season 3 for sure it will take a week or two to finish. I am taking so much care of my laptop now since I can't afford losing any important file or it's going to be a pain in the neck.

I downloaded an Antivirus software called ESet Smart Security on my niece's computer after the trial version of NOD32 expired. I replaced it with Panda Antivirus however it made her computer run slow I decided to uninstall it immediately before it gets worst.

My sister downloaded a photo editing software called Photolight I thought it was pretty good but it expired after a few days. I'd like to know what if Corel Photopaint is any better.

Hair Rebonding

I had my hair "rebonded" to make it straighter and shinier.  Hair rebonding involves restructuring the hair using chemicals to maintain the straightness. It's also known as thermal reconditioning. This procedure was developed by the Japanese, and has gained popularity worldwide. In Singapore, the prices for hair straightening using this method have dropped, in part thanks to the dying down of the craze (to be replaced by digital perming!). Nonetheless, it continues to have its fans because of the final product achieved – sleek, glossy, fuss-free hair. The term ‘hair rebonding’ is often perceived as permanent hair straightening. It is not limited to straight hair though. These days, the same method is used, albeit with different machines, to create luscious curls (ceramic and digital perming). It is advisable to go to a trained hair professional for this procedure because many things can go wrong in the process. If not done correctly, hair may end up frizzy, dry and in the worst case scenario, burnt! Before you even do this, consult with your stylist to find out if your hair is suitable for such a permanent hair straightening process. People who have had their hair coloured recently might not be advised to do this (or at least, not so soon) as it puts undue stress on the tresses.

There are three basic steps to rebonding the hair:
Step 1: Softening the bonds with a chemical cream
Step 2: Establishing the straightness with a hair iron
Step 3: Neutralising the chemical effect with another cream

A protein solution is applied to protect against the harsh effects of the chemicals before the chemical cream is thoroughly worked through the hair. The cream has sodium hydroxide as the main active ingredient, reacting with the sulphur bonds in the hair to disassociate the bonds. After the hair is suitably softened by the chemical reaction, the hair is shampooed and rinsed. It is then blown dry thoroughly and a straightening hair iron (the best being a ceramic one) is used to make the hair as straight as possible. This is done meticulously, with the hair stylist clipping up the hair and ironing it in sections. The hair is then allowed to cool and a neutralising cream is applied, to lower the pH level of the hair, as well as to give it oxygen (I am not sure how this is actually achieved, though). In my hair stylist’s terms, this is also known as a protective treatment. After this cream has set in for about fifteen minutes, the hair is washed and blown dry once more. It is then ironed again and a trim is given to neaten the hairdo. Voila! ~ Beautifully straight, silky, healthy-looking hair!

To maintain the glossiness and straightness, the hair after care is important:

1. Do not wash the hair for 48 to 72 hours after the rebonding process for the chemical process to stabilise.

2. Do not clip or tie up the hair. Hair should not be tucked behind the ears either. Should you accidentally do this, wet the hair immediately and comb it straight.

3. Wash the hair with an appropriate shampoo and apply a suitable conditioner. It is advisable to use those specially formulated for rebonded hair. While the hair might look healthy, we must not forget that the look was achieved with chemicals and thus have the attendant harsh chemical effects inflicted upon it.

4. For added protection and shine, apply a protective serum to the hair.
I spent four hours in the salon – I read a lot of magazines and chatted with my sister to kill time. I was told that the rebonding would last 6 months but of course it will still depend on how you take care of your hair.

No Thanks

I got my laptop back yesterday so my printer is working now. I called HP's technical support few days ago and talked to 3 representatives but none of them was able to really help me. They couldn't figure out what was wrong until the last rep gave me an idea that it's a possible issue with my computer's operating system, I have Windows OS. I work in technical support so I know if I'm able to fix the problem or not at the onset so I'm quite surprised with HP's reps I suppose they've gone through extensive training. I don't really care if their accent is hard to understand as long as they can help me at least figure out the problem without putting me on hold just to research a certain error that for sure is not so new to them. As far as I know I gave all the necessary information. I think the first rep is the worst I think he's lost in translation or something he just instructed me to go to HP's website and download something which I already tried prior to calling so I know that it will not fix the problem. I don't know if it's a language barrier kinda thing and I'm not mean but I don't think you can rely on HP's tech support good thing I have friends who are more knowledgable.

Happy First

Today is Jack's birthday. Our boy turned a year older today so we'll have a little something in store for him later. Jack is my elder sister's dog and he brings a lot of joy to us even if he's a little temperamental. It may sound weird that we're celebrating our dog's birthday because most people don't really care about their dogs but he's family to us. Jack's sister Jill is celebrating her birthday too of course but she's not here with us she lives in our other house.

Have a Happy Birthday Jack and Jill!

OC Me

Kaspersky crashed my computer's OS (operating system) I lost all my files so I'm back to zero. I'm partly to blame actually I just became so OC (obsessive-compulsive) wanting to uninstall a game but I couldn't do it until I end up messing everything up. What the hell is wrong with me? I'm just lucky to have "techie" friends that I can run for help in times like this. To cut  it short I had my hard drive reformatted for free.

Lesson learned, don't complicate things especially if you're not an expert.

Dressed Down

Oh God I'm so bored at work good thing we have access to Yahoo's web Messenger.

So, my network log in is finally working after 50 years! I tried it on my work pc before going home I'm happy about it of course. I can finally save files on my own personal drive, yay!

It's our company's anniversary tonight so we have a street party that's why they gave out colorful wristbands, I got a neon green I'll keep it as souvenir and it's dress down tonight so I can wear jeans, yasss!

Halloween Thingy

I'm home early and a bit starved. I wanted something light for lunch so I just ate sandwich. Earlier, I had cheese hotdog, 2 slices of buttered toast, a chocolate cookie and coffee for breakfast. I'm still tired and sleepy but I have to bring my laptop to the store where I brought it for memory upgrade, it's getting sluggish I'm becoming really upset about it.

My phone is finally up and running again after the speaker issue but now, the network signal keeps fluctuating I think it's getting worst so I brought it back to Nokia's service center and was told that they need to replace the chipset, it's busted. I hope this will be the last time I'm taking it for repair or else I might give it up for a new phone.

There's a Halloween thingy in the office that's been going on for 3 days now. I got freebies and candies thank God I don't have shift tonight. Awesome.

Bomb Scare

My sister and I went to the supermarket yesterday and we're still both kinda paranoid  of the bomb explosion that happened in Glorietta last week. I'm a bit scared to go out these days you'll never know what's gonna happen anytime. There's no safe place really.

I have shift tonight but we're not dressed down. The only consolation I get is that I'm back to the normal schedule. I was on 4 by 11 (4 days a week, 11 hours a day) previously. My elder sister and her pet "Jack" left for Baguio on Sunday to spend sembreak there how I wish I can come but I'm saving my leave credits for the holidays.

I guess I won't be able to visit our dead relatives this All Soul's Day unlike when we were kids. I have shift as usual but they are always on my prayers.

Normalcy

I finally had Norton Anti-Virus uninstalled by running the Norton removal tool. I tried uninstalling the software but I always get the message that I need to update Windows' installer. I decided to "Google it," read some forums and that's where I found the answer. Some suggested to download the Norton removal tool. To cut it short, Norton removal tool solved the problem.

I read good reviews about another AV software called Kaspersky Internet Security so I decided to download it immediately sine I no longer have Norton to keep my computer system protected. I'm getting a little upset lately because my laptop is becoming slow I though maybe it's really about time for some memory upgrade.

My sister accompanied me to Kalentong earlier to check out some ukay ukay. I bought 2 blouses and a pink polo shirt for Php80 each.  They don't give discounts there even if those are not new arrivals but I just let it go, what I got aren't so bad anyway. My 4 by 11 (4 days a week, 11 hours a day) shift is about to end I'm happy about it somehow because I get to go back to my normal life again. Seriously, it's such a pain having to stay in the office for 11 hours! Come next week I'm back on the 5 by 8 (5 days a week, 8 hours a day) schedule, yay!

Problem Solved

My CD-R USB (universal serial bus) Bluetooth dongle is finally working.

I downloaded Bluesoleil, a software that allows you to transfer files or connect from any bluetooth enabled device. It's a package deal. It has all the necessary drivers for the dongle to work, it's absolutely hassle free. Good Lord, I've been working on this problem for days. I got the driver from CD-R's website but the dongle still refused to work. Call me OC but I reinstalled the driver over and over again until I finally gave up when I checked on Windows' Device Manager it still says there that it's "not configured properly."

My gosh, I think CD-R's website is "extremely helpful" (with so much sarcasm). Imagine this, they sell products with drivers but won't tell you that you'll need a software like Bluesoleil to make it work so if you're the kind of person who just buy stuff and expect them to work right away, you're dead. It's best to do a little research first or you'll end up going back to their store without helpful answers. Of course it will work while in their store but wait till you get home. Sadly, most CD-R salesperson have a little knowledge of their products. Thank God I found "Bluesoleil" it got my dongle working perfectly. I already saw a link to Bluesoleil while I'm in the process of downloading the USB's driver but I didn't pay much attention to it, if only I did I wouldn't have wasted my time worrying too much. Good job to me at least I fixed the problem this thing will not be put to waste.

Ramblings

Two days in production but to me it's like I've been woking for a week. I've never been in a 4x11 schedule before I wouldn't want one given a choice. I mean seriously? 8 hours of work is enough to kill me so 11 hours of work in a day is definitely a suicide. The only consolation I get is the 3-days off but I'd still prefer a normal schedule I'm being paid just the same so why exhaust myself.

Enough of my rantings I can't do anything anyway. So, I bought a cheap bluetooth dongle from CD-R King and downloaded the driver from their site but for some reason the error still says that it's "not configured properly." I tried reinstalling the driver many times but to no avail. I don't know what to do from here to be honest. I read online forums but I didn't find any useful information yet I guess I'll figure it out on my own. I bought this dongle so I can connect my laptop wirelessly everytime I come over to Antipolo because I have no Internet access there anymore after I cancelled our dial-up Internet service since the connection was so awful but my sister have DSL Internet there now too. My niece needs it for school, you know kids nowadays can't live without Internet access anymore. I don't want to buy a router because I know how those things work. It'll work perfectly fine then for some reason it'll quit. I don't want to screw up their Internet set-up so I'll leave everything as it is.

I finished downloading Ghost Whisperer Season 2 it has 22 episodes and all of episodes are pretty good and worth watching. I kinda like the OBB (opening billboard) a lot it's like a dream where everything is so surreal. Believe it or not it took me 2 months to download the file in Utorrent but I don't blame my Internet provider alone I'm well aware that my laptop doesn't have enough RAM (memory) that's why I'm planning to upgrade soon.

I still have shift tonight. Darn it.

Portable Closet

Not the actual one we bought
I bought a big portable closet, the old one won't zip up anymore. The zipper's broken, we can't close it. It took me three hours to assemble the new one. The instructions that came with it on that piece of paper is just so crappy. I'm not sure how durable this is hopefully it'll make it at least 6 months or longer.

I did a check up on my old computer which now belongs to my niece because I noticed that it's running slow. I uninstalled AVG (Anti-Virus) and downloaded a 30-day trial version of NOD32. I also downloaded a registry cleaner and run it. It says 700+ errors were found on the system but it can't be repaired unless I register for a fee. I thought this was some crappy cleaner making me believe that there are are way too many errors on my pc just to make me buy their product. No way.

I had a long weekend thanks to our national holiday plus my interim off.  Our class will be going on production this week I'm just not sure if I'm gonna be happy with my schedule it's like 4 by 11. I never had that kind of schedule in my previous account.

Going Ons

I finally passed AQS with a little help from our friend so I can relax a bit now and not worry about not being able to follow the script in verbatim. Sucks, I hate sounding like an automated system. I had 20 calls today I bet my AHT (average handling time) is low, at least there's improvement I enjoy "nesting" a lot I almost forgot that I'm not supposed to have high aht anymore I've no excuse since I've been doing this for the longest time.

I had Tropical Hut's "Cornsilog" (corned beef, sinangag, itlog) for breakfast and as usual I shared it with Jack, our pet I guess he liked it so much he can't get enough of everything, even the styrofoam! Poor dog, he only gets to eat table food once a day in two or thrice a week. He's still lucky, we always tell him that there are millions of dogs out there who have nothing to eat and feed on leftover garbage. I guess he looks at me but no idea of what I'm talking about.

I finally got my Swiss bag with the our company's logo of course. It's really with lots of inside pockets. This is just perfect for me since I'm so fond of bags with lots of pockets. I also like its color, maybe I'm just really lucky because brown is one of my favorite colors. My laptop is running out of space maybe it's really about time for me to buy a portable hard drive I thought I saw one at Villman.

Catching Up

I just came home from Antipolo to check if my room is still okay so far my stuff are still there but the floor was quite a mess I think a flood came by last week.

My parents fetched me after my shift last Saturday. We had breakfast together so I was able to save money for fare and food. I watched TV the whole day. Come dinner time, my sister cooked "sinigang." It was almost we have a feast because mom also brought her specialty viand made up of mixed vegetable and coconut milk or ginataag gulay in Tagalog. I haven't eaten real food in a long time.

I had my nails done yesterday, then watched TV the whole day again. Obviously I have nothing else to do. I didn't bring my laptop with me to Antipolo, we don't have Internet connection there anymore.

I went to Villman earlier to check out how much a portable hard drive would cost these days. The salesman offered me a 250GB for Php800+ which is not bad. I might go back by the end of the week to buy that.

I Want More

I haven't passed AQS yet but that's okay I'm not in a hurry to go to production yet anyway, I hate pressure. While in nesting it's understood if your AHT is high or your POSE (surveys) suck since you're still in the process of getting used to everything but as soon as you graduate you have no choice but keep up with the pressure of being able to all hit the metrics especially if you're aiming for P4P, hardwork is a must.

I used to get p4p in my previous center and coming to work everyday played a huge part. Hopefully I can work it here too once I graduate from nesting. I won't feel bad if I'm not the first one to pass AQS like I did in my previous account without realizing that it was such a big deal. I'm like "whatever."

I'm addicted to downloading movies and TV series lately that's why I've been planning to buy an external hard drive so I can store some more files. I just want to maximize the use of our DSL Internet. Php1,000 a month is not just for checking emails and Friendster. Before I forgot,  PLDT already replied to my letter regarding the cancellation of our Vibe plan and informed me that it's effectivity will be on Sept.17 or maybe they meant Oct.17? I sent the letter this week, so I'm like "duh?" What's wrong with these people? They even addressed me as Ms. Mille, hey that's not my lastname! They mistaken the signature on my email which is "Grazie Mille" which is "thank you very much" in Italian as my first and lastname but if read carefully my nickname is written after that then followed by my full name. I thought whoever replied to my email must be sleepy or something.

Tracy Bonham Rocks

I am so into Tracy Bonham lately. After seeing her music videos on Youtube and her live performance of "Mother, Mother" at the 3rd and Lindley,  I was addicted to her music. I didn't know of any other song from her. I wouldn't have known that she exist hadn't NU107 played her song. NU107 is the only radio station that play songs from indie musicians back then. I'm also not aware that Tracy Bonham plays the violin. I enjoy listening to her music, her songwriting is straightforward and honest. Female musicians like Ani Difranco, Poe, Meryn Cadell and Lisa Loeb fascinates me. Her bio says she started singing at the age of 5. Started playing the violin at 9 and the piano at age 14. Tracy gave up her full violin scholarship at the University of Southern California to study voice at the Berklee College of Music and that's when she started writing her own songs on the guitar. Her first major label debut album "Burdens of Being Upright" released in 1996 went gold. The track "Mother, Mother" was a big part of it's success.

Music is definitely her passion, I thought it was mine too because when I was younger I thought about taking up music college, believe it or not I changed my mind I realized it's not for me.

For more of Tracy Bonham's music, visit her official website @ www.tracybonham.com

Rude Crew

My siblings and I grabbed lunch at Sbarros just to be annoyed by a rude crew. I wouldn't mention his name since we already talked to his manager.

I don't want to go into details but what he did was totally unacceptable. The lady manager sincerely apologized she even came to our table while we're eating to let us know that the crew will be given disciplinary actions. She mentioned that the crew denied our accusations and was also nasty talking to her but what didn't surprised me is that she told me this is not the first time he gave an attitude to a customer.  I'm just wondering why they're keeping an employee like him? I bet he's going through something but that's no excuse. I think we say them having a meeting before we left I'm quite positive they are it's related to the incident.

The manager approached us for the last time and asked me to write my name on a piece of paper for reference purposes. She said she already filed a report against that son of a bitch for misconduct and that he'll be suspended right away. Fair enough. What happened to "the customer is always right?" He messed with the wrong person. It's easy to lose a job these days so I hope he learned his lesson.

Honesty Is the Best Policy

I couldn't believe what happened yesterday so let me tell you about it. So my twin sister and I went the mall and decided it's lunch time so we grabbed something to eat. We end up at this pizza parlor because it's not too crowded. Once we finished eating we parted ways so she can pay our bills while I buy my elder sister something to eat. While I'm on my way to a food stall I suddenly remember that we forgot to pay our bill at the pizza parlor. While my twin sister is waiting in line to pay our bills I whispered to her that we forgot to pay.  That was rather embarrassing we hurriedly came back to the pizza parlor and approached the crew who served our food with all honesty that we forgot to pay our bill and apologized but to my surprise, no one even notice what happened I guess they're way too busy attending to other customers so in case we totally forgot about paying, it wouldn't be such a big deal but my conscience tells me that it's wrong. "Honesty is the best policy," The crew was very thankful.

Before going home we almost bump into this piggy mascot who asked for an "apir," I think he's just being friendly.

Spick and Span

I clean up my studio-type room in Antipolo. I re-arranged furnitures so I can move comfortably. It's been a while since I did this whole general cleaning. I noticed that there's too much dust on the window pane as well as the AC filter. Who would want to breathe dirty air? the pollution outside is enough to kill me. I'm not sure why there's still a leak on the ceiling I thought we had it repaired many times.

I miss not having to rent how I wish I can bring our house with me wherever I go. I don't want to leave appliance plugged in before I leave but I'm become more forgetful since I had a minor foot surgery due to an infected wound.

I still don't know have any idea of the training schedule for our batch tomorrow. We're just told that we'll be on training starting tomorrow and that's about it so we have to stand by for the time being.

I hate surprises.

Wireless Talkie

I'm so excited we got our wireless local loop phone today, it's as simple as a "wireless handset" actually. I think it's pretty cool, you just need to move the antennae to get a better signal. Pardon me, I'm such a novice when it comes to wireless phones we never had one before. My twin sister called my mom who's in Antipolo using our new phone I think they talked for over 20 minutes. We've never had a landline phone here that's why I want to call everyone to let them know haha! starting next month we have to pay Php699/month and it's not on a fixed rate basis since charges will vary on landline rates (e.g. Bayan to PLDT Php4.00/minute). This will add up to our monthly bills but at least we don't need to bother Manong Guard downstairs anymore. If we need to call sick hotline on wee hours of the morning or if we are want to order food it's a lot convenient now.

Trip Down Memory Lane

I accompanied my mom and dad to Raon in Quiapo this morning where she bought a videoke machine. My mom is planning to convert her mini store in Baguio into a videoke bar while my brother is also starting his "lugawan (porridge) business." I didn't realize that installing wires inside a videoke machine will take 2 hours. We had lunch at around 1PM imagine how hungry I was since I had breakfast at 8AM. The original plan is that they will drive me to the apartment but mom had a sudden change of mind she decided to go to Raon. Of course I'm not able to say no since I haven't been there for long time, I miss my birth place sometimes.

Quiapo look so different now. There are designated areas for vendors now unlike the last time I went there they are everywhere. It is a lot cleaner too. There are too many "rugby boys" around the church before but I don't see them there now. I'm talking about kids addicted to sniffing rugby who does that because they want to forget how miserable their life is.

Quiapo brings back a lot of childhood memories. I will never forget that mom used to take my twin and I with her to a school supplies store somewhere in Quiapo to buy coloring books for us. We also hear mass every Sunday and eat out as a family. Quiapo will always have a special place in my Heart.

Go Broadband

I finally have broadband Internet. I applied last Friday, had it installed the following day and activated on a Sunday. So far so good, 1MBPS is not bad good. Since my sister and I are renting, we asked for the building administrator's permission to mount the antennae at the roof top on the 7th floor.

I don't have to deal with dial-up hassles anymore just to check my email or download stuff. I had dial-up Internet for 3 years while others are already enjoying fast Internet because they have broadband and DSL, nobody can use the home phone while I'm online. I thought I wouldn't need postpaid Internet since I don't use it a lot but I realized that I'm paying more for the service that i'm not getting with dial-up so might as well go for broadband for Php999/month which is not bad since it's unlimited Internet.

I arrived earlier I brought our old computer table from Antipolo so I can use it for my laptop, printer and scanner since we don't stay there often anymore.

Regular at Last

I got an email yesterday regarding my regularization I'm happy about it of course I'm in the verge of quitting.

I still can't believe that it's been 6 months since I left the other company that I've worked with for a year. Honestly, for some reason there's this little feeling of regret leaving my previous company because even if I complain a lot on how the system work, their facilities is way better. Well, I'll just look at the bright side at least I can now enjoy the benefits of a regularized employee.

I was absent for 2 days I had minor surgery on my right foot last Tuesday but was able to report to work the next day. Unfortunately I couldn't ignore the pain, I can barely walk there's no medicine prescribed to me by doctor so I had to consult another doctor good thing he gave me antibiotic and some pain reliever. The wound is starting to heal I think i just need proper medication.

Just My Luck

I went to World Citi Hospital (formerly Quezon City Medical Center or QCMC) since it's Maxicare accredited (our company's HMO) to have the infected wound on my foot  checked as soon as possible it hurts, I'm having difficulty walking. There's only one dermatologist available until 2PM today. It's almost 10AM I was still in Antipolo because there is no Maxicare accredited hospital there. I thought of the traffic so I left immediately. I got there past 12 noon unfortunately the doctor advised me to come back tomorrow because her duty is only until 1:30PM... I'm like why??? I guess I have no choice but to come back tomorrow.

Baguio Forever

My twin and I spent our birthday in Baguio I just got back Monday afternoon. I had an exhausting and uncomfortable trip. It's undeniably summer. The bus we're in overheated. I miss Baguio already so I'll just think happy thoughts and recall my stay at our lovely humble abode.

I enjoyed my stay in our vacation home. I miss the view of the mountains as well as the cold afternoon breeze. It rains in the afternoon pretty much everyday. It's not too foggy unlike in December until January. We went ukay ukay shopping but this is not the season for nice finds I just bought a few.  I got myself two pairs of cool shoes for Php250 a pair which originally costs Php400-450 but I haggled and promise to the lady that I will take both if I get a good price. I also found myself a huge messenger bag and ethnic slippers. We dropped by in SM and had lunch at Solibao it was dad's treat for his birthday. The following day we had breakfast together with mom at a local restaurant called Rainbow Cafe. I ordered Banana Split since I'm craving for dessert.

I still can't get enough of Baguio I don't want to think about going back to work. My 5AM shift started this week I think I like it despite of the queue because the call floor is not as crowded unlike graveyard. My body clock is still adjusting but I'll get the hang of this.

Zit No More

i bought my twin sister a birthday present and a bluetooth headset for me. I'm happy that I'll be in Baguio during my birthday hopefully my SSS salary loan will come on time before I go on vacation. I'm excited, I can't wait to see our puppies, our sister said that they've grown so fast. I miss our vacation home, ukay-ukay, strolling around Baguio city and having ice cream at our favorite stop for dessert "Session Delights." I wish to go a little farther out of Baguio, like in Sagada perhaps? I'd like to see the "hanging coffins," which by the way are cursed according to the locals so you can't take pictures or film it or you'll die. Now that's really scary. They say it's a long travel from Baguio to Sagada about 9 hours too bad I don't think we have that much time.

Let me tell you about this amazing product from Eskinol, it's called Overnight Pimple Gel that works like magic believe me because I tried it myself it really works overnight. I put a small amount on my zit overnight it dries up easily. A tube costs Php76.00 which is not bad compared to other pimple products that doesn't work fast as they claim to be. It's definitely a good one to try.

Birthday Plans

My twin sister and I spent some time together yesterday. She bought a pair of jeans whilst I got a pair of Skechers sneakers, I think it's really cute. We ate "Big Bird" at Chef DeAngelo it left me full until dinner. We're so tired but I am happy with what I got from our shopping spree earlier. I thew away my old pair of sneakers that I got from ukay ukay in Baguio It was hard for me to let it go I had it for a long time.

I'm making the most of my Sunday off and looking forward that my birthday leave will be approved soon. My twin and I never had a chance to celebrate our birthday together since we started working because we our schedules won't meet halfway. I don't want to always spend my birthday at work, that's pathetic. We have no definite plans yet as to where we'll be spending our birthday.

Team Building Thingy

I had a really exhausting day. It's my my rest day but I wasn't able to rest at all. Yesterday, we had team breakfast and our first team building at some resort in Pasig. Nobody care to swim maybe because everyone's tired from shift or something.

It's not a private resort there are so many kids in the pool it's like a family day affair really. We had shrimp and a few beer. Food is quite overflowing, there are chips, there's spaghetti, fried chicken and barbeque, it left me stuffed. We had team pictures of course. We left the place at 3PM it was so darn hot. I got home past 4PM, rested for 2 hours, took a shower then went to Shopwise Antipolo to buy groceries and a large water dispenser.

Tomorrow I'll get my back pay from the previous company I worked with. I'm a bit curious of how much I'll get but I'm not expecting too much, i don't want to end up disappointed just like what happened to me before.

Today is Palm Sunday, the start of lenten season. Time to reflect because we celebrate this season to commemorate God's life and death. So there.
