Hopeful

I just got home from my sweaty boxing work out it's kinda crowded in Elorde today half of the court was occupied by badminton players and it's actually my first time to see them there that's why I'm no't able to run around the court. I used to come early but there are so many people working out so I decided that I'd come late but when I did people started coming in late too as well. Hopefully next week i can work out comfortably I hate it sometimes when I come early I have to to wait for my turn just like earlier my trainer have four students before me and it's a first come first serve basis of course, geez.

Today is a holiday and a milestone for us the country. It's inauguration day of our newly elected President Noynoy Aquino and Vice President Jejomar Binay. PNoy (short for President Noynoy) just finished his speech and it was a slap in the face for the previous government leaders who did nothing but steal money from people who put them there at the same time it's full of hope for the people to look forward to a corrupt-free government. PNoy and Binay are the 15th President and Vice President the Philippines. Well, let's all hope for a better country but we have to help our new leaders fulfill their promise, they can't do it alone remember, "improvement" begins with the letter "I".

Diet Freak

This day is about to end and I'm a little tired, tired, tired. First off my  rest day won't be complete without my boxing workout at Elorde to keep me fit. I headed straight to Antipolo church after my shift on Sunday then spent my leave in our house there so I had to set aside my diet for a while. I couldn't say no to home cooked food so I tried eating in moderation however, my two year old niece keep offering me snacks while i'm busy checking up our old pc then come dinner my other niece who's a real good cook served pork adobo by then I realized that I have to say goodbye to my diet for a while. I checked my weight earlier and as expected I gained a couple of pounds, geez! But I'm not discouraged by my weight gain and I'll continue with my work out and fruit diet. My goal is to lose 5 more pounds.

Anyhow, I edited and uploaded pics from my DSLR camera, did some cleaning and laundry too. I sweat out a bucket like I did when I worked out earlier it's so freakin' hot I thought summer is over.

Our broken window was finally fixed by our manong guard/jack of all trade, thank God because rainy days are here again and we don't want to invite rainshowers inside our room.

Foodie, Foodie

It's rest day transition week. I came to work for only three days then I'm on RD again, thank God. Though it felt like I had a long week or let's just say i'm just really tired, that's all. I thought I'll have my APE (Annual Physical Exam) after my shift but I changed my mind because I'm craving for dessert so I met up with my sister in SM Megamall (my place to be during RD). I've always wanted to go back to Amici located in Atrium just to have ice cream cake. When I went there for the first time with my friends I tried their "choco sans rival" I fell in love with it instantly. This time I tried "merry berries" it looks lovely believe me it tastes just as good but I still like sans rival better. I thought dessert was enough but my sister and I got hungry since it's lunch time already we tried the foodie at "The Kebab Factory." I had "lamb kebab shawarma" while she had some of their "chicken salad." We loved the shawarma dressings, my sister tried it on her salad too and it added flavor to it. I'm still watchful of what I eat and my fruit diet will go on but I consider this day as my "cheat day." I'm not worried at all I'll burn 'em cals tomorrow. Self control and discipline is the key to a healthy body. Need i say more?

Rain, Pain, Go Away

Rainy days are here again and kids are back to school. I don't miss school at all thank God i'm over it' because I hate having to deal with exams, homework, boring subjects and professors. I mean seriously? art class is all I cared about back then.

Rest day again so as usual I worked out and boxed my heart out earlier. It was a good one I felt my sweat running down my spine. I lost one pound this week my fruit diet is definitely working yey! My sister got me into this fruit diet thingy but i think she needs it more since she works out just once a week, haha.

I had my neck sprain therapy at Pain & Rehab Center (located at the 5th floor of SM Mega B) yesterday. My left side neck has been hurting since last week I had difficulty sleeping for days I took Ibuprofen to ease the pain but to no avail. I even tried a real strong pain reliever but didn't help either. I had salonpas patch on my neck while at work even though it's kinda smelly at least it gave me a little feeling of relief. I know it's not good to self-medicate but I do it a lot because I find it such a hassle to visit a doctor but I do a lot of research about my condition first to make sure that I'm well aware of what's going on with me. I'm not in pain anymore prior to the therapy but my sister insists for me to still go there to make sure I get proper care plus it's Medicard accredited so I gave it a shot. I had consultation with a doctor first then waited for a few minutes for my turn to have therapy. First I had neck ultrasound then hot compress for 20 minutes. Lastly I had stretching of the neck and head. The therapy went on for roughly 30-40 minutes and my neck felt so much lighter after.

Change topic. So, Noynoy and Binay was proclaimed president and vice president respectively yesterday. I hope that this change is a good one. New leaders, old people so let's make it work. Our leaders can't do it alone, they need our help.

Sweet and Sweat

Since it's my rest day, my friend and I decided to stroll around SM Megamall to look for a Cerealicious kiosk unfortunately, it's not there anymore but thanks to my ever reliable phone, wifi and clickthecity.com it gave me a more up to date information about Cerealicious and found out that there is a Cerealicious Cafe at the 2nd level of Shangrila Mall. I've never had Cerealicious since SM Baguio during my Christmas vacation last year so I was delighted to know that there's one at the Shang which is just a ride away from where I live. I had a trailer (small bowl) of "Pirates of the Cadbury-ean," it's a mixture of Koko duo, Cadbury zip and Oreo cereals with milkshake and a scoop of vanilla ice cream (yum!). I'm not much of a cereal fan but this is no ordinary cereal to me.

This is not your plain boring morning cereal
bowl but with a fun twist, so to speak. My sister would be happy to know about Cerealicious Cafe and I'd love to come back soon to try more of their blockbusters.

A bowl of sweetness is no good without sweating it out that's why rd is work out day for me as well. I bought a new pair of boxing handwraps that I'm excited to use for tomorrow's workout. I also got myself a jumping rope last week and this may sound funny but i don't know how to use it since I was a kid but I'm proud to say that I learned it in few days because I'm a little embarassed during work out how I wish I could skip the jumping rope exercise but I couldn't and I looked awful so I'd rather learn how to do it. Determination is the key.
